"The work was fabulous and very professional. Given the weather during the emergency, they couldn't work outside every day, but they kept everything covered and as well insulated as possible. As I said, we have used them for window replacement, remodeling a kitchen and several other smaller projects. Each was done very well. If I had any complaint it had to do with some delays due to emergency work that they are contracted to do for the disabled."

"In blending of our two households, we decided to re-finance January 2017 and make our house our HOME.  We quickly started looking for recommendations, from friends and research online, three to five was the advised number for a ball park of what we wanted to do.  Let’s just say the house was built in 1974 so it was a mishmash of colors, wall treatment techniques, styles and taste.  Pretty much a total gut.  By gut … let me tell you how extensive!  It included: Rip down the textured ceilings, walls, original cabinets with 3 coats of paint, back splash, and counter tops, and re-face (which turned into complete replacement) of the fireplace and possibly the sliding glass door.  We interviewed and met with two remodeling companies and a big-name store, and with each meeting our options and questions increased.  The big-name store was pretty pushy and were persistent with calls.  The second company was recommended by a colleague, was impressive, but seemed annoyed at our first appointment and left us feeling like he really didn’t want our business and we didn’t deserve his.  Thank Goodness for group sites on Facebook, scrolling one day and stumbled across Custom Carpentry’s post.  We did our do-diligence and researched the company online, along with checking Angies List, and bonding licensure.  Finally, we met Daniel and Brennan and discussed everything we wanted to do.  They were extremely excited about the opportunity and answered our questions in a very re-assuring way.

Daniel put us in touch with Sharon Bubenhoffer with Mosaic Tile Company to start the inspiration process.  We had initial ideas of what we wanted in our dream kitchen.  It would have a copper sink, two toned cabinets, two styles of granite, recessed lighting and pendant lights, and copper accents throughout.  As soon as I said “two toned cabinets” Sharon replied with “I believe this is what you’re looking for” and immediately we fell in love.  We pulled the trigger, ordered the cabinets, and signed the contracts.  Losing your pretty much entire bottom level of your house and kitchen for approximately five weeks is terrifying to say the least, so we set up a make shift kitchen upstairs, impending demo.

Daniel, Brian and Brennan were in constant communication from beginning, middle and end of the process.  And from the get go, included us in as much as we’d like to be included in.  Demo went as expected with older homes, but revealed a total rewire of our house bringing everything up to code.  Also uncovered were plumbing leaks from the second floor, that had been there for … we have no idea.  Daniel assured us that this was par for the course, and he repaired anything of concern.  As with any renovation, once it started, we started having GREAT ideas of how to improve things to include raising the kitchen windows up 4 inches, solving our back-splash concern.  An extra outside light, water spigot or two, and an outside venting microwave were amongst the add-ons.  No one told us that contractors don’t usually do anything above the initial contract, but Daniel didn’t hesitate.  Oh, and a totally gut of the half bath while they had everything ripped open … made sense and it made the design cohesive.

Any questions were quickly answered and concerns laid at ease.  Daniel even came by on the weekends to do things to keep things progressing as quickly as possible.  He even supervised the granite installation to make sure it was completed to his standards.  His work is meticulous and detail driven.  If it took a little longer to make our “Wonky” house plum, he did it.  He even “threw in” a whole house cleaning once the job was completed, but we knew we would be just as meticulous in putting everything back, like getting re-acquainted with an old friend.  The end product, from the ceiling, to lighting, to cabinets, counters, back splash, outlet covers, paint, trim, toe kick … you name it … it is stunning to say the least.  Nothing in our house was level, squared or plumb, but Daniel did an amazing job making sure these corrections were made and it end product is spectacular.   We can’t believe we live here and will enjoy it in years to come.  Daniel, Brian and Brennan are our “Dream” team and made what we thought was impossible, possible.  We highly recommend their company."
